Bautzen, also known as “Budyšin” in Sorbian, is a place of diversity and bilingualism, as it is the political and cultural centre of the Upper Sorbian people. The Sorbs are an ethnic minority that can be divided linguistically, geographically, and culturally into Upper and Lower Sorbs.
